Freelance Photographer
I first took up photography in 1982 when my first pay packet went into the purchase of an Olympus OM10 and 50mm lens. Since then, I haven't looked back.
My personal work tends to concentrate on abstract shapes and colour whereas I tend to work for photoillustrative and photojournalist type assignments. I have also hosted two one-man black and white exhibitions which is where it all started.
The best assignments tend to be with the military (as per the photo on the right aboard H.M.S. Ark Royal) where the action tends to be frantic and adrenaline flows freely and abundantly. The worst experience was aboard a RN Lynx helicopter when I nearly fell out the side for the sake of a photograph. At least the photo was worth it as it got used on a postage stamp !
My base is Gibraltar which I wouldn't change for anything in the world. Great weather and fantastic quality of life add up to feeling at the centre of the world with some spectacular scenery only a few miles away.
The photographs in the site represent my personal favourites of some of the places I have visited. The photographs are available for sale or licence release. If you are interested in using any of the photographs you should seek written permission before doing so. I am also available to undertake assignments.
