From Nelson's Anchorage there are magnificent views across the Strait of Gibraltar and of Rosia Bay where Nelson's body was brought abroad H. M. S. Victory after the Battle of Trafalgar. Within the area is the Napier of Magdela Battery, the site of the unique 100 ton gun (the Victorian Super Gun). This gun was manufactured by Sir W. C. Armstrong in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1870, of which two were send to Malta and two to Gibraltar. The one at Napier Battery is said to be the only one in such good condition.
