This tiny cove at the southern end of the Rock is a natural harbour and was used until the beginning of the century. It was to this berth that HMS Victory was towed after the victory at Trafalgar, with the body of Admiral Lord Nelson on board in a barrel of rum.

Above Rosia Bay is the Victualling Yard which is still in use today, and nearby is the Old Naval hospital (now used as officers quarters) where the wounded from Trafalgar were taken. Those who died from their wounds were buried in the Trafalgar Cemetery.
